I believe this is caused by the 512byte sector size after I replaced one of the HDD which is part of RAID 1. There is no detailed log of the cause if you go to Event Viewer -> Applications and Servuces Logs -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CertificateServicesClient-CredentialRoaming (anyway, I don’t know if that should where I should be looking at).

Error: Could not initialize the Jet engine: system database not found. Failed to open DIT for AD DS/LDS instance NTDS. Error -2147418113

Solution:

Make sure to always do a backup before performing the suggestion solution below. The solution worked for me, I'm not sure if it will work for you, your choice to follow the solution below.

Make sure that ntds.dit file exists inside C:\Windows\ntds\

You can copy the ntds.dit from running same Windows server or restore from backup, but make sure to delete the key System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters\DSA Database Epoch

Error when you click on SBS Console - A Volume Shadow Copy Service operation failed. Unknown error (0x800423f4).

Or Server Backup did not finish successfully on 18/12/2016 7:01 PM. See the Event Log for details.

Then on Event Viewer Applications and Services Logs -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Backup -> Operations, error is “Backup started at '18/12/2016 7:00:00 PM' failed as Volume Shadow copy operation failed for backup volumes with following error code '2155348129'. Please rerun backup once issue is resolved.” with Event ID 9.

Or Backup started at '{726fef76-17ae-4966-b054-57c55906d367}' failed as Volume Shadow copy operation failed for backup volumes with following error code '2155348129'. with Event ID 9.

Solution:

1. Stop the Windows Update service
2. Backup the files inside C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\
3. Delete all of the contents inside C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\
4. Start the Windows Update service.
5. Check if your WSUS is running.

1. If the server is hotswap, then replace the faulty drive without shutting down the server. You can locate the physical drive by letting the LED blink, go to Intel RAID Web Console, on Physical tab, right click on the drive and select the Operations tab and select Locate Physical Drive then click Go.
2. Run the Intel RAID Web Console 2, click on Physical tab and find the newly installed drive. Click the Operations tab, then click on Make Dedicated Hotspare, then select the Array, then select the Affinity option which is No. Then click the Go
   
3. Then click on Logical tab on the left side and new Physical drive will be added to the array. Then click on Group Operations -> Check Consistency to show the status of the rebuilding. It will take roughly 9 hours for the rebuild.
   
   
4. Once the rebuild is finish, it will look like this.
   

I was trialing the BackupAssist v9.4.2 on one of the Server with SBS 2008 x64 installed, so I decided to do a review of the product as I was impressed with the trial version and quick support. I did a bare metal backup and restored it to a virtual machine (VirtualBox) with dissimilar hardware, which I encountered few issues and luckily got fixed, details can be found below.

This SBS 2008 serves as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS server and it is hosting Exchange 2007.

I downloaded the BackupAssist software and installed, their 30-day free trial is fully functional including their add-ons.

Their support is also great, you get a response within an hour most of the time. There's also an Australian number that you can ring who is physically based here.

If you decided to buy the software, make sure to re-do your RecoveryAssist CD as the previous one will still be on trial mode and not licenced.

On this trial, I used a 2TB Verbatim Store N Go.

Lenovo R500 44C0569 laptop to be exact.

I had to replace the fan on this laptop and it's switching off every one or two minutes, all the indicator lights will also go off even the charger/battery light even though I have the power adapter plugin.

This is cause either by too thin or thick thermal paste on the CPU, so just re-apply a thermal paste.

Zarafa-webaccess attachment disappeared when I reply to an email but no to a New email. Zarafa version installed is WebApp 1.6-46049, ZCP 7.1.14-51822.

Attachment will not show up at the receiver's Inbox and in my Sent Items.

I tried using Firefox and Chrome and had the same result.

Solution: Increase the MaxExecutionTime, MemoryLimit, PostMaxSize on PHP server where you have the Zarafa server installed.

On SME Server Contribs, you do it by issuing the following commands:

Update Nov 2016:
We are still having issues with the attachment but it's intermittent, this time I updated the WebApp to the latest version compatible to the server's OS.

I ran into a BSOD 0x71 Session5_Initialization_Failed error after transferring a hard drive from Dell DCNE to another desktop Acer Veriton T661.

It also shows check disk then the BSOD 0x71. When I try the safe mode, the last driver showing would be mup.sys before it does an automatic restart.

The motherboard on the Dell desktop died hence I need to transfer the hard drive, this is for the client with limited budget.

Running the following will NOT fix the above BSOD as it already passed the MBR.

• fixmbr
• fixboot c:

The only solution that works for me is to copy a backup registry hive from C:\Windows\Repair\ folder.

CONS:

• The screen doesn't come with a template (for wallmount installation) that you can just stick to the wall for ease of installation.
• The wallmount bracket has no label specifying the top or bottom neither the screen comes with a diagram.
• If you are keen to use the soundbar bracket, you will have to apply 5 to 10 kg force which may break the screen. Soundbar bracket manual installation can be found here.
  
• The brochure has no detailed information regarding the dimension, specially the back panel. Having to know the dimension beforehand would avoid the wrong position installation of wall plates and GPO, as there was a tendency of hitting the input/output connection box behind the screen. Also, there's not enough gap to fit a power cable, a 90 degree power plug should have been supplied.
  
• On one of the two screens, the HDMI1 is located on top instead of the bottom part on the side panel as per their instruction.

When buying Polycom RealPresence Group 500, you’re buying the device with a codec with a requirement of one year maintenance from either Transition Ensure or other Polycom distributor in Australia. The setup below is using a different VoIP service provider and not Microsoft. Make sure your VSP can accept video call. It is best to have Polycom on the other caller's end because if it’s a different device in the other end, you may need to do bridging on non-Polycom device and you may loose some functionality like linking to whiteboard and data sharing. For example, if you decided to get a Yealink video conference device.

Before the internet has been migrated to NBN connection, it was using Telstra ADSL connection.
After the NBN became active, Telstra copper lines became inactive (not physically though) and everything comes to the fibre.
Meaning all existing phone numbers have to be ported as a cloud number and be configured on the modem.
Telstra Netgear DEVG2020 comes with VoIP already configured, but if you need the username and password then you need to contact Telstra.

Basically, the objective is to get incoming lines from the modem back to the MDF (i.e. pair 1, pair 2, pair 3 as incoming lines normally starts from first pair) then make sure you jumper pair 1, 2, 3 to your PBX device.
